Hornets Extra: Hawks 105, Hornets 75

75

105

If you didn't manage to watch last Saturday's Charlotte Hornets road match-up in Atlanta against the Hawks, then you don't want to read this recap of this game.  The Hawks ran up the score early, and often en route to a 30-point blowout over Charlotte 105-75, handing the Hornets its 9th straight loss, as the Hornets are still struggling to get back on the winning track.

The Hawks blowout was all due in part of a lack of team pride that the Hornets had in Saturday's loss, as Atlanta took advantage early and often with Paul Millsap leading the way for the Hawks with 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting, while Mike Scott was a big surprise for Atlanta off the bench, adding in 14 points on the night.  The two were joined by Dennis Schroeder and the team's three-point specialist, Kyle Korver, who each had 12 points, with Al Horford adding in 11 and rounding out the group of double-figure scorers for Atlanta in last Saturday's win was Demarre Carroll with 10.

And for Charlotte in the loss, which dropped them to 4-14 on the year, P.J. Hairston led the team with 15.

Tomorrow night won't be no easy walk in the park, as Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah, and the always tough-to-beat Chicago Bulls roll into Time Warner Cable Arena, as the Hornets look to avoid its 10th straight loss on Wednesday night for a 7:00 p.m. start.
